Public Consultation on the future of Bray Film Studios

Testimonials

Bray Cottages – June 2021

I am now writing to say thank you so much for all of the business that Bray Cottages has received as a result of the film studios reopening.

They have been an absolute delight to work with and certainly throughout these rather horrible times, we have been able to work closely with them.  The result of this is that 4 of our cottages have been booked as “short-long term rentals. Naturally as a repercussion of this, other local suppliers have certainly benefitted.

As you know we are a small business based in Bray so the continued relationship with the studios will ensure continued employment for our staff.  The local restaurants, prior to the lockdown, saw increases in bookings and even businesses such as the local dry cleaners are being used so all in all it’s been great for all businesses.

If there is any way that we can help you, please let me know because all in all I can’t thank you enough for the introductions.

Warm regards,
Denise Ellis | Owner

4 Front Security Services – June 2021

First of all, please allow me to take this opportunity to let you know that it has been so great to see Bray Studios returned to its former glory.

Bray used to be seen as one of the major institutions in the industry decades ago and to see it back in full swing has been such a positive for the community as a whole.

Having been appointed the security provider for the Studio we have been able to provide work for a minimum of 14 people from within the local community which again has had such a positive impact.

As the security provider we see many local companies coming through the main entrance at Bray which yet again shows the positive impact on the community as a whole, we hope that this studio continues to grow from strength to strength and becomes a great local film institution moving forward into the future.

Kindest regards,
David Cole | Business Development Director

Universal 360 – June 2021

It’s wonderful to be involved again at Bray Studios, this time producing 3D Virtual Tour scans of the new stages and the ongoing renovation of Down Place.

I have worked at Bray Studios on a few productions over the years including ‘The Manageress’ TV series and ’The Wildcats of St Trinians’!

I am still working in the Industry as a Producer and having seen the recent developments at Bray I would certainly make it my first choice to base a production.

From my personal experience working as a Production Manager / Unit & Location Manager on films including Four Weddings and a Funeral, 1984, Braveheart, Mountains of the Moon, Empire of the Sun etc. I have seen that millions of pounds flow directly into the local economy from these large productions.

I have no doubt that the continued exciting development at Bray will be an enormous boost to local economy and a great asset to the current booming UK Film Industry.

Kind regards,
